Another Grand Auction is to be held at Mirfield, this time to raise money for the Community’s campaign for the future.

This will be the fifth such auction and will be conducted, as before, by George Gribben a popular and entertaining auctioneer from Belfast. He is the brother of Fr John Gribben, a member of the Community, who will be organising the auction at this end.

There are many lots at the moment, with something for everyone including – jewellery,  silver, furniture,  antiques, toys, war memorabilia, and various Church items. Fr John would like to thank everyone who has contributed and those who have given their support in other ways such as collecting and delivering.

Donations are still needed for the auction, and Fr John asks for your help in finding those hidden treasures. ‘If you know someone who is moving or downsizing we could help, we have even undertaken house clearances! You may have something in your attic or cellar or at the back of a drawer that has been gathering dust – it could make a big difference, and every little helps.’

The Auction will take place on Saturday 23 June at 2pm

Viewing will take place on Friday 22nd June from between 10.30am and 4.30pm

and Saturday 23rd June between 10.30am and 1.30pm
